The Rotary Club of Marion in conjunction with the Rotary Club of Roatan Utila Guanaja - RUG of Honduras, participated in the Worldwide End Plastic Soup Action Day sponsored by Rotary, Rotaract and Interact Clubs worldwide on June 1.
The club partners with The City of Marion, NC, and Keep McDowell Beautiful by participating in the Adopt-a-Street program quarterly by collecting trash along Yancey Street in Marion near the Eastfield School.
End Plastic Soup goal is that by 2050 there is no more plastic soup in the oceans, seas, no more plastic waste in our lakes, rivers, forests, parks and streets and is a Rotary International sponsored project.
